[nggallery id=38]Supreme leader of the Workers' Party of Korea and people Marshal Kim Jong Un enjoyed mass gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang", winner of Kim Il Sung Prize, together with Pyongyangites on Sunday.
Among the audience were senior officials of the party, state and army Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol and others, chairperson of a friendly party and officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials in the fields of science, education, literature and arts, public health and media, labor innovators and working people in Pyongyang.
Present on invitation were overseas compatriots, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, diplomatic envoys of various countries and representatives of international organizations and members of the foreign military attaches corps here and their spouses and foreign guests.
The performance impressively made a grand epic representation of the past in which a definite end was put to the distress-torn history of the nation and the present of Songun Korea in which its dignity has been placed on the highest level thanks to the peerlessly great leaders and its eternal prosperity.
The extravaganza staged in vast three-dimensional space was a perfect combination of graceful and spectacular rhythms, dynamic gymnastics, refined artistic representation rich in national flavor, ever-changing background, gorgeous stage decor and peculiar lighting, etc. It clearly showcased the inexhaustible strength and skill of the Korean people and the rapid development of Juche arts.
At the end of the performance fireworks were displayed in succession, beautifully decorating the nocturnal sky of Pyongyang.
Kim Jong Un waved back to the enthusiastic cheers of the performers and audience and congratulated the former on their successful performance.
He expressed great satisfaction over the fact that "Arirang" was successfully re-represented in fresh style in reflection of the need of the developing era and the desire of the people. He extended thanks to the performers and creators.
The performance "Arirang" made its debut in 2002 on the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of President
Kim Il Sung. The extravaganza staged more than 420 times over the last decade has been watched by at least 13 million service personnel, working people and youth and students and over 180 000 overseas compatriots and south Koreans and foreigners.

Kim Jong Un Visits Haemaji Restaurant
[nggallery id=29]Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, together with his wife Ri Sol Ju, visited Haemaji Restaurant before its opening to business.
He went round different places of the restaurant to learn in detail about its construction, display of goods, service program, varieties of dishes and their quality.
He first looked round the supermarket for fruits, vegetables, milk and meat and drinks.
He expressed great satisfaction, saying that the supermarket looks unique and delicate and its display is peculiar. It was built in such a way as to be a model impeccable in any aspect, he added.
He stressed that it is of particular importance to fix proper prices of foodstuff and work out well business strategy in order to put the supermarket on a regular footing.
At a booth, he noted that corn fry smells nice and tasted it.
At a dinning room he said that overhead lighting, wall decoration and furniture look convenient and comfortable.
He was pleased to see rice prepared with assorted mixtures on griddle, saying the people would like it.
He went round with keen attention the meat and fish shop selling varieties of fresh fishes and various parts of meat.
He went up to the first floor by a peculiar escalator and looked round one by one various dinning rooms serving varieties of dishes of different countries. He said he was very pleased to see those rooms arranged to suit the characteristic features of the relevant countries.
He dropped in at the bread shop selling varieties of tasty and quality bread. He praised the restaurant for arranging the stands in such a creative and unique manner as to fully ensure hygiene and convenience.
At the coffee shop he sat on a stool, saying it looks comfortable.
He expressed great satisfaction over the construction of the restaurant, saying there is very friendly environment and he liked everything there.
He extended thanks to the soldier-builders for having successfully built the restaurant as required by the new century and to the officials of the field concerned for arranging it in an impeccable manner as intended by the party.
He set forth tasks to be fulfilled to manage and operate the restaurant.

Torchlight Procession of Young People Held with Splendor
Torchlight procession of members of the young vanguard "Along road of socialism following the great party!" took place at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang Wednesday evening to celebrate Youth Day. The tribune of honor was taken by senior officials of the party, the state and the army including Choe Yong Rim, Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol, Kim Kyong Hui and Kim Jong Gak.
Present there on invitation were delegates to the celebrations of Youth Day, officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials in the fields of science, education, literature and arts, public health and media, a delegation of Korean youth and students in Japan and a delegation of the Youth Federation of Korean Nationals in China for celebrating Youth Day, overseas compatriots, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, diplomatic envoys of different countries and representatives of international organizations here, military attaches and foreign guests.
Columns of torchlight procession entered the square when it was pervaded with pride and self-esteem of members of the young vanguard glorifying their youth as performers of feats and heroes of the times under the care of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of theKim Il SungSocialist Youth League, declared the start of the torchlight procession.
The torchlight procession started when song "Baton of Revolution" and the recital of narrative poem reflecting the determination of the members of the young vanguard from across the country to always follow the road under the leadership of the party resounded forth at the square.
The procession is led by an open car carrying portraits of the smiling Generalissimos amid the solemn playing of "Song of General Kim Il Sung" and "Song of General Kim Jong Il" and the display of fireworks in the sky. Letters "Kim Il Sung", "Kim Jong Il" and "Immortality" were formed at the square with torchlight.
Columns of officials of the youth league, service persons, students of the revolutionary schools, working youth and university students marched past the square to the tune of songs "Long Live the Great Juche Idea" and "Might of Korea". Columns of torchlight procession presented a model of the Tower of the Juche Idea and letters "Juche" and "Songun".
Conspicuous was a column of torchlight procession depicting letters "Power of Mt. Paektu" which reflected the firm will of the young vanguard to demonstrate the might of Juche Korea before the world in the drive to build a rich and powerful country and demonstrate the might of Juche Korea, their hearts burning with great Kim Jong Il's patriotism.
Letters including "Successor", "Scout Party" and "Defender" were seen at the square. Heard from among columns of the procession were shouts of slogans reflecting the resolution of young vanguard to make a dynamic advance toward prosperity of the great Kim Il Sung's nation, Kim Jong Il's Korea by keeping pace with the Songun brilliant commander.
Watching the grand torchlight procession, crowds sent loud applause to its participants. Fireworks were displayed to brightly light the sky over the city. The square seethed with loyalty and enthusiasm of the members of the young vanguard of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's Korea to carry forward and accomplish the Songun revolutionary cause of Juche that started in Mt. Paektu, keeping pace with Kim Jong Un.

Torchlight Relay Racers Arrive in Pyongyang
[imagebrowser id=12]Members of young vanguard participating in the torchlight relay race arrived in Pyongyang Friday to mark Youth Day. They were full of the pledge to give steady continuity to the march toward Mt. Paektu under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.
Holding aloft the torchlight of revolution that was kindled on Mt. Paektu and Osong, the young people passed through every nook and corner of the country. They finally entered the Thongil Street of Pyongyang Friday. Service persons, citizens from all walks of life and school youth and children lined up along the streets to warmly greet them.
Arriving first at the Three Charters for National Reunification Memorial Tower were relay racers of the Korean People's Army. Then followed young vanguard relay racers. The chiefs of the ranks of service persons and young vanguard made reports on their arrivals. Jong Yong Nam, chairman of the C.C., theKim Il SungSocialist Youth league, warmly congratulated them.
The race strikingly displayed steadfast will of the youth of the DPRK to uphold Kim Jong Unas the supreme leader of the party and the revolution and dynamically advance toward the final victory of the great country of Mt. Paektu
