Agricultural Workers Mark Anniversary of Kim Jong Un′s Assumption of KPA Supreme Commandership
Agricultural workers met to celebrate the first anniversary of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army at the Mangyongdae Vegetable Farm in Pyongyang on Wednesday.

National Meeting Marks 40th Anniversary of Socialist Constitution of DPRK

A year of more ardent longing for the sun

Now 2012 is coming to a close and the Korean people are recollecting with deep emotion the unforgettable days of the year spent amid longing for President Kim Il Sung. President Kim Il Sung is the founder of socialist Korea and benevolent father of the Korean people they greeted and held in so high esteem for the first time in their history spanning thousands of years. As the days go by, the Korean people more ardently long for him.
Representing the ardent longing of the army and people, the bronze statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were excellently erected on Mansu Hill in the capital city Pyongyang, the Korean Revolution Museum and large sculptural groups on both sides of the bronze statues have been rebuilt on the highest level amid the joy and emotion of celebrating the significant Day of the Sun. Equestrian statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were erected at the Mansudae Art Studio for the first time in Korea and their smiling portraits set up in different parts of the country.

The Korean people deeply understood the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung for the country, people, the era and history through diverse political events such as military parade and fireworks evening "Korea of the Sun Will Prosper forever!" in celebration of the centenary birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung. The 14th Kimilsungia Festival was splendidly held in Pyongyang, greeting April holiday, the greatest national holiday. The warm sincerity of the Korean people to hold President Kim Il Sung in high esteem forever was felt at the venue of the festival exhibiting Kimilsungia, the flower of the sun, cultivated by the working people of broad sections and school youth and children with warm reverence. The 28th April Spring Friendship Art Festival more significantly decorated the Day of the Sun, a common holiday of humankind. Those Who Contributed to Satellite Launch Visit Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory, Ice Rink
Scientists, technicians, workers and officials who made contributions to the successful satellite launch came here at the invitation of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un. They visited the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory on Friday.
When they arrived at the factory, officials and employees of the factory warmly welcomed them with garlands and bouquets. They went round the confectionary shop, okdang sugar shop, products exhibition hall, etc., being briefed on the fact that the factory turned into a modern large confectionary producer.
At the end of the visit they spent pleasant time, dancing with the employees, rejoiced over launching the first scientific and technological satellite by their own efforts and technologies and successfully carrying out the behests of leader Kim Jong Il.
Then they went to the Ice Rink to enjoy a men's hockey match. They also enjoyed skating after the match.

Statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il were erected on Tonghung Hill in Hamhung City, South Hamgyong Province. They depict Kim Il Sung raising his hand high, his face beaming with a broad smile, and Kim Jong Il, his face beaming with a broad smile, standing in padded dress associated with his indefatigable efforts all his life while wishing the great Paektusan nation a rosy future.

Under the Banner of Songun
Great Kim Jong Il was an iron-willed brilliant commander and uncommon great man who defended the destiny of the country and people and demonstrated the dignity of the nation with the treasured sword of Songun or army-first politics. He was awarded the title of Marshal of the Democratic People´s Republic of Korea on April 20, 1992, and the title of Generalissimo of the DPRK on February 14, 2012, for his accomplishments for the country and people.
When he was awarded the title of Marshal of the DPRK 20 years ago, the Korean people were wrapped in endless jubilation. The Korean people who held him in high esteem as the Supreme Commander of the KPA wanted to see him in the marshal uniform. But Kim Jong Il never wore it before the people. He warmly said the khaki jacket is better than the marshal uniform for him and the hero medal on the chest of the soldiers is more precious than the marshal star and there is the marshal star as there is the hero medal of soldiers.
During his visit to a post of the KPA in young pine woods in January 1995 he announced that he would become a supreme commander smelling the earth together with soldiers and sharing sweets and bitters with them in the battlefields thick with powder smoke in the future, too.
Since the day, Kim Jong Il devoted his all on the road for the country and people, laughing off all difficulties. His Songun-guided march was a tearful forced march of high intensity along the early morning path of Phanmunjom truce village within crying distance from the enemy´s gun muzzle, the steep road on the cliff of Mt. Osong, the dangerous sea route to Cho Island, the sheer Chol Pass and many other places of the country.
Recalling the unforgettable days with deep emotion, Kim Jong Il in his lifetime said, he enforced the Songun politics relying on the People´s Army according to the will of President Kim Il Sung, and that it was with Songun that, during the most arduous march and forced march, he foiled the moves of the imperialists to suffocate the Republic and defended the socialist system, safeguarded the destiny of the country and nation and opened the road of building a prosperous socialist nation.

Performance Given by Workers Art Group
A performance was given by the Workers Art Group of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) at the Central Hall of Workers Wednesday to mark the 21st anniversary of leader
Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 95th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.
Put on the stage were such colorful numbers as chorus "Soldiers Sing of Their Supreme Commander Our Supreme Commander", dialogic poem "Being Blessed with Supreme Commander", male solo and female off-stage song (pangchang) "Turf Turns Green" and female trio "On High Peak and Rough Road of the Country".
The performers sang high praises of the feats Kim Jong Il performed by making the country emerge a dignified political and ideological power, nuclear weapons state, satellite manufacturer and launcher under the uplifted banner of Songun.
Trumpet solo and female chorus "Memory of the Native Home", male quartet "Arirang on Jiansanfeng" and other numbers were staged when the hall was pervaded with ardent yearning and reverence for the great persons of Mt. Paektu.
Also put on the stage were numbers representing the spirit and optimism of the people with which they are bringing about great innovations and leap forward in their worksites in order to bring the noble desire of the great persons of Mt. Paektu to reality.

Kim Jong Il Makes Literature and Art Helpful to Songun Politics
[nggallery id=77]The literature and art, created thanks to the guidance of leader Kim Jong Il in the era of Songun (military-first), is considered a treasure in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. In his lifetime, he paid deep attention to making the literature and art serve the Songun politics.
He authored a number of celebrated works to indicate the orientation and ways for the development of the literature and art in the Songun era, urging the Korean People's Army to take the lead in the creation of Songun culture.
In the period of the Arduous March, the forced march, he saw to it that the State Merited Chorus was organized, which played a big role in inspiring the servicepersons and civilians to follow the Songun politics.
Art performances full of the revolutionary soldier spirit were given at various levels, including art festivals of KPA servicepersons and performances by art groups of servicemen's families and itinerant art squads of industrial establishments.
The grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang", a winner of Kim Il Sung Prize, was created as a monumental masterpiece in the new century and art performance "The Blue Sky over My Country", given by the State Merited Chorus, Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble, Mansudae Art Troupe, Phibada Opera Troupe and other leading troupes, deeply moved local people.

The grand gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang", a winner of Kim Il Sung Prize, was created as a monumental masterpiece in the new century and art performance "The Blue Sky over My Country", given by the State Merited Chorus, Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble, Mansudae Art Troupe, Phibada Opera Troupe and other leading troupes, deeply moved local people.

Service Personnel Renew Loyalty Pledge to Kim Jong Un

Present at the meeting were Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol, Kim Kyok Sik, Hyon Chol Hae and other officials of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces and service personnel.
Choe Ryong Hae, director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, made a speech of paying humble respect to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the meeting.
He said that all the soldiers who came to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun pay high tributes and extend eternal glory to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, reflecting the unanimous wish of all the service personnel and the people.
Stressing the need to guarantee the national reunification and build a thriving nation with strong arms, true to the behests of the Generalissimos, he went on:
The KPA will become the O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment of today which firmly defends the WPK Central Committee headed by Kim Jong Un and the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun and the reliable scout party and strong mainstay of the Songun revolution which will take the lead in implementing the WPK's idea and resolution in the air, ground and seas.
With the steadfast stand of "Immediate counterattack to provocation, just war for national reunification to a war of aggression!" the KPA will mercilessly defeat the aggressors and accomplish the historic cause of national reunification if the U.S. imperialists and south Korean group of traitors hurt the dignity and sovereignty of the country even a bit.

Americans Remember Kim Jong-il
The world lost a great leader, a great thinker, and a great man. And the American people lost a dear friend. In his lifetime, Comrade Kim Jong Il was such a cheerful and invigorating presence that it was easy to forget what daunting historic tasks he accomplished. He sought to mend the Korean peninsula’s wounded spirit, to restore the strength of the self-reliant Korean people and to free the people living in the occupied territory to the South of the peninsula. These are causes hard to accomplish and heavy with risk.
Yet they were pursued with almost a lightness of spirit. Kim also embodied another great cause — what V.I. Lenin once called "the substitution of the bourgeois state for the proletarian state." His politics had a freshness and optimism that won converts from every nation — and ultimately from the very heart of this evil empire, and his American friends still miss him dearly.
Yet his humor often had a purpose beyond humor. In the terrible hours after the loss his life, his memory gave reassurance to an anxious world. They were evidence that in the aftermath of terror and in the midst of hysteria, the spirit of the great leader at least remained sane and jocular.
And perhaps he signified grace of a deeper kind. Lenin himself certainly believed that he had lived for a purpose. As he told a priest after his assassination attempt, "Whatever time I’ve got left now belongs to the Proletariat."
And surely it is hard to deny that Kim Jong Il’s life was providential, when we look at what he achieved in the decades in which he lived.
Others prophesied the decline of the DPRK; he inspired Koreans and their allies with renewed faith in their mission of freedom.
Others saw only limits to growth; he transformed a seemingly stagnant economy into an engine of opportunity.
Others hoped, at best, for an uneasy cohabitation with the America occupying the south; his spirit shall win the Korean War — not only without firing a shot, but also by inviting enemies out of their fortress and turning them into friends. Kim Jong Un carries this tradition forward beyond all expectations.
He excelled in professions that have left many others jaded and self-satisfied, and yet somehow remained untouched by the worst influences of fame or power. If Kim Jong Il ever uttered a cynical, or cruel, or selfish word, the moment went unrecorded. Those who knew him in his youth, and those who knew him a lifetime later, all remember his largeness of spirit, his gentle instincts, and a quiet rectitude that drew others to him.
Kim was more than an historic figure. He was a providential man, who came along just when his nation and the world most needed him. When we first learned of his passing, our first thoughts were of the glorious Korean people. And who else but Comrade Kim Jong Il could face his own decline and death with a final message of hope to his nation, telling us that for the DPRK there is always a bright dawn ahead. Fellow Americans, here lies a graceful and a gallant man.
Korea, none of us can take away the sadness your people have felt. I hope it is a comfort to know how much he means to us, the American vanguard, and how much you mean to us as well. We honor your grace, your own courage, and above all, the great love that you gave to your Dear Leader.
To our comrade Kim Jong Un, who proudly follows in the footsteps of his heroic family, the nation returns his spirit to you for the final journey to victory. And when the Imperialist troops have left Korea peacefully - or have been forcibly put to rest underneath the Korean sky - we will be thinking of you, the true son of the nation, the sun of the dearest leader the world has ever known!

National Memorial Service Marks First Anniversary of Demise of Kim Jong Il

He, with his extraordinary wisdom and energetic pursuit, formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism and made it shed its rays as the great guiding idea in the era of independence and brightly indicated the way for accomplishing the popular masses' cause of independence.

This achievement is a scientific advancement for all humankind and People's Korea has earned praise and support from all nations, from all people of all walks of life. From the birth of Kim Il Sung in 1912 to the rise of Kim Jong Un in 2012, Korea has step-by-step achieved autonomy and proven its strength to the world.
As Kim Il Sung conquered the Japanese imperialists warmongers, now Kim Jong Un is poised to conquer the Heavens. The world's Imperialist powers see that the will of the Korean people will never ever change and they fight tooth and nail like rabid dogs to limit and sanction Democratic Korea for peacefully developing its space program.
How typical of the United Nations, whose last journey to Korea killed a million Koreans. How typical of the United States, who abandons NASA and hopes the DPRK will follow suit, yet refuses to sign a peace treaty! The world's leaders know they insult Korea with such talk. No people with any dignity or honor would bow before the petty tyrants of Imperialism who demand Korea accept censure and punishment as if they were children. When Israel, a key member of the West's alliance, complains of the DPRK's "transparency," while hiding massive secret reserves of nuclear weapons.
Korea stands as one of the last bastions of human dignity. The United Nations is naked in its corruption and hypocrisy if it would punish the people of Korea for reaching for the stars!
The American people are not as stupid as the media and government would hope we should be. Kim Jong Un has earned the title of TIME's Person of the Year, as democratically decided by 5.6 million online voters. This is due in no small part to broad, mass frustration with America's corrupt dictatorship of the rich. Korea has given us the greatest Christmas gift of all: a new attempt by humanity to spread peace in to the universe.
The discerning among us know that the Imperialists only use new discoveries for profit and power; with Socialist Korea at the helm, the entire world sleeps easier knowing that there is one government in the world ensuring the safety of the human race.

Journalists inspected the General Satellite Control and Command Center in Pyongyang Wednesday after the successful launch of the second version of satellite Kwangmyongsong-3.The center is a combined base for observing and controlling satellite of Kwangmyongsong series and a hub for scientific researches essential for the development of the national economy and improvement of people's living standard including earth observation and communications.
The visitors were briefed on the fact that the DPRK manufactured the second version of satellite Kwangmyonggsong-3 and carrier rocket Unha-3 on its own efforts and by its technology and successfully launched the satellite, true to the last instructions of leader Kim Jong Il.
They looked round the general control and command room.
They watched a video showing carrier rocket Unha-3 putting the satellite into orbit.

12 December – DPR-Korea has launched earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-3 (2) by carrier rocket Unha-3. The reported time of launch was 1349 NZDT; 0949 Pyongyang/Japan local time.
It is currently unclear whether the launch was a success or not. The North Korean government has not issued any statement at this time.
Sin Son-ho, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated in October that DPRK’s space development programme was for “peaceful purposes” and “is an exercise of sovereign right in line with the universally accepted international law in which the general will of all member states of the UN is reflected.”

In the country there are many nature conservations and sanctuaries, including areas of Mts. Paektu, Myohyang and Oga. And rare and extinctive animals and plants are designated as natural monuments.
The days from November to next March each year are set as a period for protection of forests and underground resources and the days from March to July as a period for protection of useful animals.
The government has built many nurseries and farms for saplings, fries and such animals as pheasant and roe deer throughout the country.
We'll work harder to improve the nation's natural environment and conserve natural resources while stepping up international exchanges and cooperation for protection of biodiversity.

In the last three years alone before his demise, the leader visited nearly 1 000 establishments throughout the country.

Opera 'The Flower Girl' Staged 1500 Times

The famous art piece was created by President Kim Il Sung during the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle. Through the destiny of a distress-torn family in exploitation society, it shows the truth that the revolutionary struggle is the only way out for the oppressed people.
Leader Kim Jong Il proposed to make the famous work "The Flower Girl" an exemplary "Sea of Blood"-style opera. He made sure that a powerful creative group was formed and gave detailed orientation and ways.

Servicepersons Perform Heroic Feats in Projects of Renovating Parks and Face-lifting Rivers in Pyongyang

According to it, servicepersons created a heroic epic of bringing about a new prosperity of Pyongyang through the drive of sprucing it up into a worldwide city and a center of Songun culture in the revolutionary soldier spirit and with matchless patriotic dedication for recent 40 odd days, true to the noble outlook of Supreme Commander Marshal Kim Jong Un on the country and the people.
They gave full play to the spirit of devotedly implementing the orders of the supreme commander in the project of improving the bank of Hapjang River.
They removed over 280 000 cubic meters of mud and repaired and washed the retaining walls of 18 000 square meters and rearranged the area covering more than 250 000 square meters and planted turf there, repaired and painted floodgates, bridges and intakes and completed all other tasks in just six days.
They fully displayed the militant spirit of the revolutionary army in the project of improving the bank of Pothong River.

Kim Jong Un Inspects Training Ground of Horse Riding Company of KPA

After seeing training facilities and horses which lined up for training, he watched service personnel's training of horse riding. Watching their brave training, he was satisfied with the fact that commanding officers and men are possessed of the admirable horsemanship.
He recollected with deep emotion the feats performed by leader Kim Jong Il in guiding the work at this training ground, saying that President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were very good at riding horses. Kim Jong Un personally rode a horse to learn in detail about the course of riding. After riding on a galloping horse several times along a long main course, he said it is fairly good for riding. It is suitable place for horse riding, he added.
If this training ground which was visited by Kim Jong Il several times is rebuilt into a modern ground for horse riding, this will mean better preservation and consolidation of the precious legacy left by him,Kim Jong Unsaid. He proposed to name it Mirim Horse Riding Club as it is situated in Mirim area. He called for renovating horse-riding club at an early date and presenting it to the people.
Horse-riding is a very good exercise helpful for nurturing bravery, he said, adding it will help strengthen healthy spirit and physical body conducive to labor and defence. Regular horse-riding exercises from early years based on education will develop muscles and prevent back ache even after becoming adults, he said.
Horse-riding has caught worldwide interest, he said, stressing that Koreans have been fond of riding horses from the olden times and frequently held competitions on horseback, thus training their body and mind.
When renovated, the horse-riding club will attract lots of working people, youth and students, he said, adding that the horse-riding will help them train their body and mind and give them pride and joy.
Roller skating wind is raging after the creation of skate parks in different parts of Pyongyang, he said, noting that same thing will happen after the creation of horse-riding club.
To promote horse-riding, it is necessary to provide necessary conditions, he stressed.

Mother′s Day Celebrated in DPRK
Mother's Day (Nov. 16) is celebrated in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Put up in the streets of Pyongyang are posters in celebration of the holiday while large-sized electronic displays show programs for the mothers.
Children and young men are seen carrying bouquets for their mothers and teachers. Flower shops and stalls, bookstores and greeting card and souvenir shops are crowded with visitors.

Wangjaesan Art Troupe Gives Performance to Mark Mother′s Day
[nggallery id=57]The Wangjaesan Art Troupe gave its music and dance performance at the People's Palace of Culture here Wednesday to mark the Mother's Day in the DPRK. It was watched by officials of ministries and national institutions and people in Pyongyang.
The performance began with song and dance "Paean to Women in Songun Era". Put on the stage were diverse numbers such as female solo and pangchang "A Lullaby", violin solo and female solo with pangchang "My Mother" and female solo "Happiness of Mother".
They also sang of mothers who creditably fulfilled their mission and duty, steadfastly covering the path of revolution and patriotism under the care of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu.
Also staged were songs "Care of Party Represents the Home Where We Live" and "Kind-hearted Is Our Party" which reflect gratitude to the Workers' Party of Korea, which has led and treated the mothers with politics of respect and love for women.
The theatre was pervaded with ardent yearning for leaderKim Jong Il, who led mothers and all other people of the country to lead a true life and brought them great happiness when the troupe presented a guitar solo, female trio and pangchang "Boundless Is Yearning."

Kim Jong Un Visits Newly Built Breast Cancer Research Centre at Pyongyang Maternity Hospital

He went round various places of the centre such as vessel endoscope room, lacteal gland photographing room, ultrasonic wave examination room, electrocardiography room, sick-rooms, etc. to learn in detail about its construction, performance and specifications of medical equipment and its management and operation.
He entered its lobby and said he felt as if he were in a palace.
He was satisfied to hear officials of the hospital say they learnt a lot from the work style of the soldier-builders.
He was pleased to hear from officials in the field concerned say that the hospital could provide medical service to women not only of Pyongyang City but also all other parts of the country through tele-healthcare system.
He underscored the need to take good care of equipment, looking at cutting-edge equipment such as multi-purpose Roentgen, CT, etc. one by one.
He said it was important to prevent mastopathy and breast cancer, find out and treat them at an early stage through regular examination of women now that the hospital has such cutting-edge equipment.
After coming up to the balcony of the first floor, he recollected that leaderKim Jong Ilgave an earnest instruction on building a modern breast cancer research centre at the Pyongyang Maternity Hospital in November last year, the last days of his life, and personally examined its blueprint. He told officials of the center to successfully manage and operate it associated with the profound loving care ofKim Jong Il.
When he dropped in at a sick-room, he asked the officials if the patients would not feel any inconvenience in their living. He showed such deep care as making sure that sick rooms were provided with liquid crystal TV sets and refrigerators.
While going round the general operation room, he said it was most important to fully ensure germ-free environment. At an intensive-care room, he urged doctors on duty to have a real time watch on life index of the patients.
He, at the same time, looked at varieties of white gowns and slippers provided to the doctors, nurses and patients by the party.
He extended thanks to the soldier-builders who took part in the construction of the centre, expressing great satisfaction over its construction. He added that it looked impeccable in any aspect and women would be pleased to visit it.

Kim Jong Un Sends Chestnuts to Students of Kumsong School

The chestnuts are associated with his fatherly affection for the rising generation. New Welfare Service Facilities Inaugurated in Pyongyang
[nggallery id=52]There sprang up on the picturesque bank of the Taedong River in Pyongyang the Ryugyong Health Complex, the People's Open-air Ice Rink and the Skate Park.
The magnificent edifices having a peculiar architecture in conformity with the appearance of the capital city are the fruition of the love for the people.
The Ryugyong Health Complex with a total floor space of 18 379 square meters has modern facilities for bathing, hairdressing, beauty and massage treatment and fitness exercises.
The complex can accommodate at least 7 200 persons a day.
The People's Open-air Ice Rink has a total floor space of 6 469 square meters while the Skate Park has a total floor space of more than 1 3300 square meters. They provide all conditions for skating and roller-skating all year round.
An inaugural ceremony took place on Friday.
Attending it were Choe Yong Rim, Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Mun Kyong Dok, Ro Tu Chol and officials of the armed forces, ministries and national institutions and of the fields concerned and soldier- builders, employees of the above-said facilities and other Pyongyangites and youth and students.
Premier Choe Yong Rim, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, in his inaugural address said that the facilities are a product of the wise leadership and devoted efforts of leaderKim Jong Iland the dear respected MarshalKim Jong Unand that they were built by service personnel and people through their patriotic efforts to devotedly carry out the plans and intentions of the party and the leader.
He called upon all the officials and employees to take good care of the service facilities and equipment and minutely organize their service and operation in the spirit of rendering devoted service to the people and thus ensure that the WPK's loving care reaches all of them.

Kim Jong Un Watches Shooting Contest and Volleyball Match

Moranbong Band Gives Performance in Presence of Kim Jong Un

The Moranbong Band gave a performance on Monday to mark the 60th anniversary of Kim Il Sung Military University, highest seat of Juche-oriented military education. Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, appeared at the auditorium together with his wife Ri Sol Ju.
Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol, Jang Song Thaek, Hyon Chol Hae, Kim Won Hong, Ri Myong Su, President of Kim Il Sung Military University Ryo Chun Sok and teachers, cadets and graduates of the university, officials of various military schools and military families.
Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys and representatives of international bodies and officials of foreign embassies here and foreign guests staying in the DPRK.
The performance began with National Anthem. It made a vivid portrayal of the beautiful music world with songs praising the party, leaders and the country and revolutionary and military songs.
The performers sang high praises of the peerless Songun brilliant commanders who brought up the officers and men of the KPA to be loyal fighters defending the country, the revolution, socialism and the people's happiness with arms by carrying forward the traditions of arms of Mt. Paektu, and pace-setters in thoroughly carrying out the instructions of the leaders, true to the party's cause.

The statues of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were erected at Kim Il Sung Military University on the occasion of its 60th birthday. The erection of the statues of the illustrious commanders at the university marks a great event reflecting the steadfast will of all the service personnel of the Korean People's Army (KPA) to glorify the immortal Songun revolutionary exploits performed by the Generalissimos for all ages.
A ceremony of unveiling the statues was held with splendor on Monday.
Attending the ceremony was Marshal Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the KPA.

Dancing Parties of Youth and Students Held in DPRK

The plazas of the Party Founding Memorial Tower, the Arch of Triumph, the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium and all other venues were packed with youth and students who gathered with great pride and honor of having performed feats as members of the vanguard and shock brigade in accomplishing the Party's cause of building a thriving nation with peerlessly great men held in high esteem at the top posts of the WPK.
They danced to the tune of songs like "Glory to Our Great Party", "Let's Sing of Our Pride in Being under the Guidance of the General" and "The Party Is Embrace of the General" in boundless reverence for Generalissimo Kim Il Sung and with strong yearnings for Generalissimo Kim Jong Il.
Joy and excitement could be seen on the faces of the participants cheerfully dancing to the tune of songs including "Do Prosper, Era of the Workers' Party", "It Is October" and "Twelve Months for Songun Victory."
